Early College Academy
High school students who desire to take college courses for credit may participate in the Step-Ahead program. The program allows junior or senior high school students to enroll in college courses while completing their high school education.
- Eligibility
Student must have a minimum ACT score of 20 or SAT score of 950
Must receive approval from high school counselor or administrator
Students wishing to take College Algebra (MAT 131) or Trigonometry (MAT 132) must have ACT subscores of 20 or higher; Pre-Calculus (MAT 150) must have ACT subscores of 25 or higher; Calculus with Analytic Geometry I (MAT 171) must have ACT subscores of 26.
A high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores must accompany your registration form.

High School Dual Enrollment
Blue Mountain Christian University offers the ASCEND Dual Enrollment Program in partnership with area high schools. Through this cooperative initiative, select courses may be offered for both college credit and high school credit. Approval of courses for college credit is based on established criteria, including instructor qualifications, curriculum alignment, and instructional delivery standards. Admission as a dual enrollment student is available to qualifying students attending participating high schools.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate in the ASCEND Dual Enrollment Program, students must:
Attend a participating high school.
Be classified as a junior (11th grade) or senior (12th grade).
Meet BMCU’s minimum admission requirements (ACT/SAT scores or other qualifying academic criteria as established by the university).
Receive approval from a high school counselor or administrator.
Submit an official high school transcript along with qualifying test scores, if applicable.
Additional placement requirements may apply for certain mathematics or specialized courses.
